Excellent place to stay - very comfortable room with great linen. View is fabulous, Breakfast really good. If you are walking the C2C as we were, it isn’t out of the way at all as Roger can provide detailed instructions which take you along the north side of Ennerdale water where you rejoin the official path. Just make sure you eat dinner in Ennerdale as it’s 1.5 miles from Ennerdale and you really don’t want to walk to and from Ennerdale at the end of a long day.

We had a 1 night stay at Ghyll Farm as part of our Coast to Coast trip. It is such a lovely place! The hosts, Roger and Christine, were extremely helpful and very attentive. The B and B is in a beautiful location with lovely views across to Ennerdale. It is a bit of walk from Ennerdale Bridge, off the main Coast to Coast path (about 1.5 miles) but it was definitely worth the extra walk. ||Our room was very well designed, comfortable and very clean. Big comfy bed, excellent bathroom, everything we needed. Each room has a little outdoor seating area in the lovely garden. ||Breakfast was really delicious and of high quality. It was served in the conservatory attached to the main house with beautiful views across the garden towards Ennerdale. ||Overall it was a perfect stay. We would highly recommend and we would definitely stay again if we were in the area. Thank you Roger and Christine!

We had a lovely stay at Ghyll Farm B&B. We walked coast to coast and were very happy to sleep in a luxurious room with a very comfortable bed. Great breakfast with fresh fruit salad. The location is a bit further from the route, but thanks to the help of the caring hosts we were able to continue our hiking via a short cut. We can also recommend the tasteful lunch package they offer on demand.

Set in a beautiful location above Ennerdale village and a short walk from Ennerdale Water, this is a gem to stay. The room was very comfortable, the breakfast superb and the tranquillity to dream of. A must to stay if you're in the area or Coast to Coast-ing.

Simply wonderful! The accommodation was immaculate and extremely comfortable. The views of the surrounding landscape were stunning. The hosts, Chris and Roger, were beyond welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend.

Wat een prachtige plek, en wat een warm welkom. Het verblijf bij Roger en Christine is een aanrader, zeker als je de C2C loopt. Een geweldig ontbijt en lunch. Tot in detail top! We hopen hier volgend jaar weer te komen, om dan onze C2C verder te vervolgen. Dank voor jullie gastvrijheid!

Fantastic location, great breakfast, wonderful hospitality, perfect! Nothing was too much trouble for Roger and Christine, we were able to charge our electric bikes in the outbuilding, and Roger gave us very useful directions for our onward route
